Social Media Week Takes Center Stage

If you’re reading this now you probably missed Social Media Week, but luckily for you we at Tyngu dedicate every week to social media. Either way, here’s some of what you missed from #SMW.

Twitter’s Standalone Analytics Tool

We know, we know, Twitter can be a powerful marketing tool, but the marketing strengths of the platform will never outshine its use as a catalogue for your pointed rants at celebrities–right? Pinterest and the Buy Button

This one is a no brainer really. Pinterest + a Buy Button = pure gold for any company in the DIY sphere. With Facebook and Twitter already on board to add buy buttons, we think it’s just a matter of time until you see these everywhere.

Facebook’s virtual reality apps

Virtual reality Apps???? Say no more, we’re in. With Apple getting to work on building an electric car it stands to reason that Facebook would have every reason to expand its range on social media. We just hope that whatever Facebook is cooking up doesn’t end up looking like this.

Facebook’s New ‘Product Ad’Unit

In Facebook’s quest to dominate social media’s burgeoning corner of e commerce they’ve come up with pretty snazzy selling option that should help any company that offers multiple products. We’ll track how the Product Ad Unit comes along. It’s just too bad this puppy didn’t exist when beanie babies were in style.
